Juan Diego de la Cerda is the fourth generation to farm El Socorro, a family legacy that started back in 1980 when his grandfather first planted coffee on land his own parents had reclaimed a decade earlier. El Socorro has picked up four Cup of Excellence wins with their gesha, so this maracaturra lot comes from serious pedigree.

Yuzu and florals in the aroma, dark chocolate and starfruit up front, citrus fruit and cocoa layered through, finishing with pear and green apple. Bright citric acidity, medium body, and a creamy mouthfeel that ties it all together. Genuinely one of the more interesting cups you'll come across.
